Run up to getting here

Well, We've been in South Shields now since the end of Jan 09. Really looking to start a fresh life up here, and ultimately save some money! It's hard being so far away from friends and decided I shall start blogging when I need to let off some steam! At the Moment A and I are living with his parents - which has been challenging to say the least! Things like washing my underwear never became so controversial til i got here! plus there's personal space issues and so on, I'm an only child so personal space is a big thing for me! Luckily the house is rather big, and the area is lush so can go out when I want and escape.

Leaving my friends behind was quite hard cuz I do love em to bits, but I found that I am a completely different person when I am with them. I go back to being a wild child and "don't have a fuck" attitude. When I'm in Sth Sds I'm not like that at all, split personality is something I find hard to deal with! But I couldn't say I'm one over the other...MAN!

Problem is when i go home, i resort back to old ways - drinking to much, harmful substances, getting caught up w
ith faces from the past and being embarrassingly drunk! while this sound cringe-worthy and awful to some, i actually like it. i miss it and crave it! Madness!

But when I'm with A, I'm just me Not "settled down" or anything like that, just a moderate drinker who likes to live a little sometimes. He cant say he didn't know that about me when he met me. Only thing is... he dusnt realise how bad we get and some of the things Ive done whilst drunk! which I don't really want him to know.

So new life in Sth Sds is good, but no job yet - so no real friends yet. We going back to home in two weeks and already the girls have organised a piss up! Can't wait. Lets just see if faces from the past appear!

Right now though A and I are
thinking a few things. A is in the hotels biz. He wants out so is thinking of doing a computer course, either with Computeach or NITLC. Consequently doing this course will see him having a recognised skill, once employed so the plan is to emigrate to Australia in 3 yrs or so. Also, at the mo, we only have one car, so looking at new cars, cuz i will more than likely be needing one once the job gets going. looking at the new Fiesta's ... but not sure yet.

Today is A's dads Bday so a few of the in-law family coming round tonight for buffet and drinks. makes a change i suppose. A is on nights all this wk until Sunday which is nice cuz I can spend the wk nights with him.

And tomorrow is Thursday ... Thursday means ... Darts!!! Come on Barney!

BARNEY ARMY!! BARNEY ARMY!!

  1. Welcome to blogging and thanks for visiting my site. Living with parents or inlaws (outlaws!) is quite hard isn't it. I lived with my father in law for 6 years before he died. It was very tough.
